鶹ý Hosts 2nd Annual Pickle Palooza Fundraiser

Pickleball tournament raises $178k for local nonprofits

(Salt Lake City, UT – September 10, 2024). 鶹ý, a North American insurance brokerage firm specializing in risk management, insurance, wholesale brokerage and wealth management, held its 2nd annual “Pickle Palooza” fundraiser on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. This annual fundraiser has already raised more than $178k and featured an afternoon of doubles pickleball at in South Sandy, Utah, where teams and attendees enjoyed food, drinks and intense pickleball competitions with all proceeds benefiting the IMA Foundation.

With over 150 attendees, this year’s Pickle Palooza had something for everyone whether playing on a team or joining as a spectator. In addition to the action on the courts, pickleball teams were encouraged to participate in the annual costume contest with prizes for the most unique, humorous and detailed outfits, as well as taking photos with local sports mascot Bumble from the Salt Lake Bees.

Finally, one of 2023’s IMA Foundation grant recipients, , joined the fun as pickle players and spectators to celebrate the amazing work they do for youth in the Salt Lake City area and beyond.

“Pickle Palooza is one of the most anticipated events on our calendar and our chance to show the Salt Lake City community a fantastic time with family and friends and the opportunity to support worthy local causes,” said Jeana Hutchings, Executive VP of Benefits with 鶹ý and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the IMA Foundation. “We encourage community members to join us in celebrating the nonprofits who are making a difference in our community and in the lives of youth.”

Giving Back to Nonprofits That Make A Difference

The IMA Foundation provides grants to organizations that have a primary focus on advancing youth, with five key areas identified: education, mental health, arts & culture, food insecurity and homelessness. Pickle Palooza is one of many IMA Foundation public fundraising events held nationwide each year, inviting business partners, colleagues, media, employees and members of the public to engage in friendly competition for a cause. Through sponsorships and ticket sales, IMA raised nearly $1 million for nonprofits across the country in 2023.
