鶹ý Hosts Wichita’s 8th Annual Pickle Jam Fundraiser

Pickleball tournament raised $132k for local nonprofits

(Wichita, KS – September 19, 2024). 鶹ý, a North American insurance brokerage firm specializing in risk management, insurance, wholesale brokerage and wealth management, held its 8th annual “Pickle Jam” fundraiser on Thursday, September 26, 2024. This annual fundraiser raised more than $132k and featured a full day of doubles pickleball, a cornhole tournament and yard games at in Wichita, KS, where teams and attendees enjoyed food, drinks and intense pickleball competitions with all proceeds benefiting the IMA Foundation.

The big star of the event was IMA Foundation’s grant recipient, (FPGW), which was presented with a check for $25k during the event. Family Promise of Greater Wichita’s mission is to empower families with children to overcome homelessness and housing insecurity through a holistic approach, community involvement, and sustainable solutions.

“For 8 years running, Pickle Jam has not only been a wonderful chance to celebrate with our associates and partners, but also to honor and support great nonprofits like Family Promise of Greater Wichita who are making a real impact supporting families who experience homelessness or housing insecurity,” said Jeff Jamison, President, Wichita with 鶹ý.

Giving Back to Nonprofits That Make A Difference

The IMA Foundation provides grants to organizations that have a primary focus on advancing youth, with five key areas identified: education, mental health, arts & culture, food insecurity and homelessness. Pickle Jam is one of many IMA Foundation public fundraising events held nationwide each year, inviting business partners, colleagues, media, employees and members of the public to engage in friendly competition for a cause. Through sponsorships and ticket sales, IMA raised nearly $1 million for nonprofits across the country in 2023.

“IMA has helped move the needle on the work FPGW has been doing in our community since 2018 and has helped move that mission forward in impactful ways. With the support of Pickle Jam event proceeds, FPGW will be equipped to support even more children and their families that are experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity,” said Beth Schafers, Director of Development & Community Engagement with FPGW. “With the support from this event, the Family Promise team can support approximately 100 children and their families in their work to overcome housing insecurity. After a one-time investment of $250 (average for each child), paired with holistic case management and connection, each child’s family will have the resources to avoid eviction, overcome their current housing insecurity, and take meaningful steps toward sustainable independence. IMA’s support will move us one step closer to our vision of a stable home and a bright future for every child in our community.”
