鶹ý Partners with Eugene’s Kidsports to host 2nd Annual “Game of Throws” Cornhole Tournament

Event raises more than $56,000 for Eugene-area nonprofits
(Eugene, OR – May 10, 2024). 鶹ý, a North American insurance brokerage firm specializing in risk management, insurance, wholesale brokerage and wealth management, hosted one of its most successful fundraising events in the region on May 9, 2024 with the 2nd Annual “Game of Throws” Cornhole Tournament at the Kidsports Fieldhouse at in Eugene, OR. More than $56,000 was raised for Eugene-area nonprofits and a $10,000 donation was made directly to the Kidsports Scholarship Fund.
Attendees enjoyed great food, drinks, music and an exciting cornhole tournament, all in a family-friendly atmosphere at the beautiful Kidsports Fieldhouse and Civic Park. All contributions to the event benefitted Eugene-Springfield area nonprofits in partnership with the IMA Foundation. The IMA Foundation provides grants to organizations that have a primary focus on advancing youth in areas including education, mental health, arts & culture, food insecurity and homelessness.

Cornhole for a Great Cause: Kidsports
This year’s event honored , a private non-profit organization in Oregon that provides youth sports programs for pre-K through 12th graders in Eugene/Springfield and surrounding areas. Kidsports teaches children and families the value of physical fitness, sportsmanship, practice and teamwork through sports and activities, with knowledgeable coaches and officials allowing each player to achieve their personal best while having fun.
A portion of the proceeds will support Kidsports Scholarship Fund, which in 2023 provided $228,494 in scholarships for 4,002 kids in the community with a primary focus in helping at-risk and low-income kids.
“The combination of collaboration, competition, and cornhole contests offers a spirit of community togetherness, and everyone knows that together, we can all achieve more,” said Beverly Smith, Executive Director of Kidsports. “The cornhole competition is not only about your team’s success, but you will also be playing for kids! 鶹ý’s Foundation will donate funds from the event to the KS Emerald Scholarship Fund which supports almost 4,000 children a year with the gift of play.”
