Chief of Staff

Amy Venturi served as the Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Hickenlooper from 2015 through the end of his term. As a member of the Governor’s Executive Committee, she advised the governor on a range of issues, from internal operations to state and national policy and strategy. She has spearheaded a number of the governor’s legacy initiatives and helped raise over $3 million from the private sector. She was a primary liaison to agency directors and led the Governor’s scheduling, administrative and constituent services teams as well as represented the Governor’s office to various organizations.

Amy joined the governor’s team from the oil and gas industry, where she was the Director of Social Investment. She oversaw Anadarko’s involvement in community organizations and managed the company’s charitable giving program.

Prior to joining Anadarko, Amy served as Director of Community Relations and Karma for Brownstein Hyatt Farber and Schreck.

Amy was the founder and president of Generations Cancer Foundation (GCF), a nonprofit organization that raised awareness and funding for cancer research while inspiring a new generation of philanthropists. She has been honored as a 7 Everyday Hero and named to Denver Business Journal’s prestigious “Forty Under 40.” In 2009, she was appointed to the Stakeholder Grant Peer Review Committee of the American Cancer Society and currently serves as Board Chair of the local board of the American Cancer Society. She recently joined the board of The Other Side Academy and will be the Vice-Chair of the newly formed Colorado Women’s Chamber Foundation.

A native of Cincinnati, OH, Amy earned her degree in Mass Communications from the University of Denver.
